FAQS
What’s new for the 2026/27 season?
Final One Standing returns for another season with some exciting new additions:
- More “Free To Play” opportunities with the introduction of Scottish Premiership games, running on selected Matchweeks.
- Build your own Jackpots with friends by adding an entry stake to your customer-created Private Games.
What’s changed with the gameplay?
- The core gameplay hasn't changed.
- Pick one team to win each Round, don't use the same team twice, and keep picking winners to stay in the Game and in the hunt for a share of the Jackpot.
- New competitions and Game formats have been added for 2026/27.
What’s the first Premier League Jackpot of the 2026/27 season?
- We’re kicking off the season with a £250,000 free to play jackpot on the Premier League (entry closes 12:30 on Sat 22nd August).
- After that, we’ll keep the excitement going with weekly Jackpots of varying values throughout the season.
What Games can I enter?
- Our Free To Play games available to you will appear in your Final One Standing Lobby.
- Want more competition? You can create and join unlimited Private Games with friends - for bragging rights, or to play for your own funded Jackpots.
Can I join a Game after it has started?
- No. Once Round 1 begins, entry to that Game closes.
- You'll need to wait until the next Game opens before entering.
Can I pick the same team twice?
- No. Once you've used a team in a Game, it can't be selected again during that Game.
When are Rounds played?
- Rounds will follow the official Matchweek schedule of the relevant Competition (e.g. Premier League).
- We will have a new Round every set of fixtures, unless a number of rescheduled matches forces us to skip a set of fixtures in the interest of fairness for entrants.
- If there’s a Round of fixtures, don’t worry - we’ll always let you know in advance!
Why isn't there a Round this Matchweek?
- Some competition Matchweeks may not become Rounds if they don't meet the minimum fixture requirements. This is to ensure fairness across all entrants.
- Example: In the Scottish Premiership, all 12 teams must have a scheduled fixture for a Matchweek to become a Round. If any fixture is rescheduled, that Matchweek will be skipped.
What happens if I miss a pick?
- If you forget to make a pick in one of our William Hill run Free To Play Jackpots, you'll unfortunately be knocked out of the Game. But don’t worry - you can join the next available Game when it opens.
- Customer-created Private Games may have different knockout rules determined by the player when creating the Game. Check the specific Game setup to be sure of its knockout rule.
What if all remaining players are eliminated in the same Round?
- If all remaining players are eliminated in the same Round, they'll all be treated as joint winners and the Jackpot will be shared equally between them.
What if multiple players complete all picks successfully?
- In this case, the jackpot will be shared amongst all players who picked every team in the competition without losing.
Why does Round 1 of a Game not always include every fixture of a Matchweek?
- To give everyone more time to join, we will occasionally remove an early kick-off from the 1st Round of a Game.
- Since it’s the first pick for every entrant, it’s a level playing field for all players and so no disadvantage to any particular player.
What happens if my pick’s match is postponed?
- No worries - you'll automatically progress to the next Round.
- Your selected team will still count as having been used, so you won't be able to pick them again later in that Game.
Can I change my pick before the round starts?
- Yes! You can change your pick anytime - just make sure to do it before the first match of the round kicks off.
Do I need to deposit money to play?
- Not in the Free to play version of the Game. Where a Game is labelled as Free, initial entry and all Rounds are completely free and no deposit is required. Just join, make your picks and play!
- Where a customer has created a Private Game that requires an entry stake, the indicated cash entry stake will be taken from the customers main balance at the point of a player making a Round 1 pick.
When will I receive my winnings?
- Jackpot winnings will be paid into your William Hill account within 48 hours of the Game ending.
